Soul-centered astrology, guided by the craft of human-centered research
Hi, I’m Colleen, a soul-centered astrologer, mindfulness guide, and longtime user researcher, another way of saying I’m just curious about and love all things human.
My approach combines the intuitive wisdom of astrology with the grounded tools of self-reflection, emotional clarity, and a touch of joy. Before this chapter, I spent years translating human behavior into product strategy; now I help people translate their birth charts into something just as useful (and far more magical). Whether you’re at a crossroads or just trying to make sense of your Moon sign in meetings, I’m here to offer insight and a place to do meaningful inner work.
Who is Coco Ryan?
Coco is a nickname I’ve had since I was a kid. This name tends to show up when I’m feeling the most free, bold, and full of joy. Over time and with the support of both plant medicine and Internal Family Systems work, I’ve realized that Coco isn’t just a name, it’s a part of me worth honoring. This space is a reflection of her spirit: curious, courageous, a little magical, and always up for going deeper. And Ryan, well… that is my actual middle name, and I think it’s cool.
Background & Training
Over a decade of experience in human-centered research and insight design
I spent over ten years working in tech and innovation, helping companies gain a deep understanding of their users’ needs, behaviors, and inner motivations. My work was rooted in empathy, pattern recognition, and clear communication skills, which I now bring into my astrology practice. My corporate background allows me to bridge the intuitive with the strategic, offering readings that are not only soulful but also actionable, reflective, and psychologically grounded. (LinkedIn)
Certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher (trained by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield)
I completed a two-year certification program in mindfulness meditation through the Awareness Training Institute and Greater Good Science Center, led by renowned teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. This training emphasized trauma-sensitive awareness, self-compassion, and deep listening practices. It also rooted me in Buddhist psychology, somatic presence, and emotional resilience and tools I now weave into every astrology session.
Level Two Mystic Astrologer Certification – Rising Woman (with Andrea Dupuis)
Trained in soul-centered, archetypal astrology with emphasis on chart synthesis, psychological depth, and healing-focused interpretation.
I am actively continuing my training in soul-centered and psychological astrology through one-on-one mentorship and ongoing group study.

Astrology Assistant
Gus
Gus’s Big Three
A Sagittarius Sun makes Gus a joyful explorer, always ready for the next big adventure! His big-hearted optimism and a deep belief that every walk is a quest for meaning (and maybe a sandwich crust) make him equal parts spiritual sage and adventurous pirate.
Sun
A Libra moon tells us Gus is the peacemaker of the dog park (and it’s true he does not like any pup drama). He’s happy to sit with whoever brough snacks and is willing to offer head scratches, he’s affectionate, and leans in for cuddles like it’s his emotional calling.
Moon
With a Capricorn Ascendant, Gus is giving a very loyal and hardworking main character energy. He’s always ready to take their job (ball retrieval, emotional support, and bird watcher) very seriously. Gus is a wise and grounded friend who loves his morning routine, treats, snoozing under my desk, and being the best goodest boy.
